Director/Owner

Hi! I'm Taryn Palacios, Director of Angels Twirl & Dance Company, a dance studio located in Alamo, Texas. I am a long-time public school educator, a Texas certified dance teacher, and a United States Twirling Association, certified twirling coach.

I twirled in the PSJA school district from elementary to high school. I competed and loved every minute of it. My mission is to bring the sport of baton twirling back to the Rio Grande Valley. We are currently the only baton twirling studio in the RGV!

Sport of Baton Twirling

Baton twirling involves using the body to spin a metal rod in a coordinated routine. It is similar to color guard. It's a sport that combines dance and sometimes, gymnastics while manipulating one, two or three batons at the same time. Many students participate through recreational programs and/or twirl for their school or college. There are opportunities to compete at the local, regional, state, world, and international level.

I promise to not only bring the very best out in your little angel, with baton twirling, dance skills and techniques, but in self-confidence, team-building, leadership, and servitude. I will coach with skill, love, empathy, and patience.

Our Company Values

Angels Twirl & Dance Co. was founded in 2023, by Taryn I. Palacios and is a Christian-based organization. Our mission is to provide students with education, not only in baton twirling and dance but in the importance of their Christian duty to improve their community of Alamo through their gifts, time, and talent.

ATDC members will be encouraged to participate in community service efforts, such as performing at nursing homes or hospitals, volunteering at food banks, serving food to the hungry, or other similar events.

Prayers may take place before competitions, performances, and/or recitals. Students and families are not required to participate, but are expected to respect it.
